Hernandez Middle School Dance

Each performance is an opportunity for the student to grow as a dancer and performer. No performance is less important than another. Performances are often for a grade and are a requirement for Dance Class.

• Costumes are a requirement for each public performance to unify each dancer as one. We as a dance department will provide costumes with the expectation of undergarments and black leggings if needed. The dance department will also select the costumes for each class.

• Performance make up is required as we are teaching professionalism with each performance. Stage makeup’s purpose is to accentuate the performer’s facial features and expressions while on stage.

  • Performance make up consist of eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, blush, and lipstick.

  • Fake eyelashes, foundation, glitter is not a requirement.
